Dear athletes, parents/guardians, and community members:
It is my privilege to serve as the head football coach for Basha High School. I look forward to being another member of this great school and community. Basha High School excels across the board in many endeavors and my job is to make the football program another positive asset for the school. My program’s motto is “Engineering Champions Forever” in which we will create a platform for young members of the team to learn championship skills both on and off the field that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. We expect our student-athletes who successfully complete our program to have the utmost capability to make a positive impact in our society and the lives of everyone they meet. This philosophy will act as the basis for our program.
Another main goal for the program is to create a strong bond and/or extended family within the program. It is our belief that creating this is more difficult than teaching football or developing specific skills. The hard part is teaching kids how to cooperate with other people or to make young men/women understand that they need to be “self-less” in order for a team to thrive. Our focus is on the commitment to a team and program. I want players to understand what it means to sacrifice for a team and achieve team-related goals. I am committed to this approach because I truly feel this is how you build a “championship culture.” Again, I look forward to working for Basha High School and creating a positive experience for all current and future Basha Bears!!
We are so happy for you and know that you will go on to do great things in this world! Best of Luck to you always!
~Your Basha Gridiron Family
Congratulations to Basha Football players and coaches for playing hard and with all heart on Saturday at the Nike 7 on 7 Tournament! They had several wins leading them to semi-final play. They beat several teams, including Mountain Pointe, which took them to the game against Pinnacle. They didn’t win that one, but what an awesome day of great play, sportsmanship, and teamwork! Great job Basha Bears! You’re Awesome!

For the first time ever the Basha Gridiron Club sponsored a Senior Legacy Project. This is a project that the graduating Senior football players select as their “legacy” left behind to support and enhance the Basha Football Program for the future. The project selected by these players was a fence wrap style banner to cover the fence at the top of the bleachers to the south of the press box. The Basha Gridiron Club thanks these players for their creative inspiration to show all who enter our stadium our Basha High School Pride!

Well, this last week of football for the Basha Football program brought about blowouts, no matter which game you observed or was interested in. For the most part, the same happens from earlier in the season were found to be the case against Hamilton.
The Varsity Bears were run over by the Huskies and couldn’t find a break so change the momentum of the game whatsoever. The Huskies scored early and often, in route to a 55-0 victory over the Bears. The Bears are now 2-7 heading into the bye week.
Our JV Bears however, did keep up their winning ways by blowing out the Hamilton Huskies at home 54-14. Per the coaching staff, this was only the second time that a Bear football team (at any level) had beaten the Huskies. Congratulations to the JV team on that stat and the big win. The JV Bears are now 8-1 moving into the bye week.
Like the Varsity Bears, the Freshman Bears suffered a similar loss 50-0. The team is trying hard, but just not able to create much success. The Freshman team moved to 2-6 on the season heading into the bye week.
The Basha Bears football program has a bye week this upcoming week of the season. The Bears next action will be against the Perry Pumas the last week of the season, the schedule then will be as follows;
10/25/2017; @ 6pm- Freshman, Basha at Perry
10/26/2017; @ 6pm- Junior Varsity, Perry at Basha
10/27/2017; @ 7pm- Varsity, Basha at Perry
